Bonjour my loves!
I had a strong urge to start off my summer with a challenge I've never done before. I wanted to push myself mentally and see what it's like to live a fully Raw Vegan lifestyle. Although I currently live a vegan lifestyle, I will say the temptations are running high when having to make lunch and dinner for my family. There's nothing more comforting than the feeling of healthy WARM goodness traveling down your esophagus! I will say, part of my inspiration for taking on the challenge was my pregnancy days where I would go all day and only eat fresh watermelon. Not so bad right? Especially on a hot summer day. The main thing I want to take away from this 30 day lifestyle change is mental discipline and a new found love for raw vegetables. I want to experience earths natural goodness in it's purest raw form. It's easy to eat fresh fruit and appreciate the taste, but raw vegetables, thats another story.
Another reason why I want to take 30 days to only eat Raw fruits and vegetables is to detox my body. Yes I eat relatively healthy, but there are still a lot of chemicals in some of the things I eat. I'm hoping that taking on this challenge I will cleanse my body without depriving it of all the nutrients I need, while gaining mental clarity. Also, I still plan to workout and continue my daily fitness routine so a water fast, or juice cleanse just will not do at the moment (although I do plan to commit to both in the near future).
